inspired by pattern

I hope you all enjoyed your holiday weekend. I took last week off... accidentally. It got really busy and I just neglected the blog, but I'm back this week and inspired by summer, sun and pattern. I found some patterned inspiration in our family room: a summery striped rug from Williams Sonoma, a floral runner from Pottery Barn, and a couple of Target throw pillows in ikat and a graphic print.

So this week, we'll be talking about how to incorporate pattern into design. How have you been including pattern in your life?
