#nss2014

Well, this year I'm home on the west coast with a new baby, but next year I plan to be walking the floor at the National Stationery Show in NYC, admiring the beautiful booths, touching the letterpress cards with my own hands and meeting some of these amazing designers in person (are you with me, Jeek?). I have been eagerly anticipating the explosion of photos shared on Instagram via hashtag NSS2014, and the attendees and exhibitors did not disappoint!

Nole over at Oh So Beautiful Paper released a whole bunch of sneak peeks over on their blog, so I've been ooh-ing and aah-ing over some of the new products for a few weeks. But I also discovered a few surprises as the show was going on over the last few days. Read on for details and links!

| 1 |

Betsywhite Stationery is releasing a new Paperie line this summer (all of the images in this post are of the Betsywhite booth at NSS, via this post) and it looks absolutely gorgeous. Lots of black and white, lots of color, lots of simple, beautiful designs. I want to move into their booth and clothe myself in their stationery and notebooks. Is that weird?

| 2 | I've been a fan of Emily Ley's since last fall, when I discovered her Simplified Planner. I immediately realized it was not only perfect for me, but it was also sold out. I was heartbroken, but managed to get my hands on one right before Christmas. To be honest, I was kind of looking forward to holiday being over just so that I could write in my planner.

I've certainly never had this impassioned a reaction to a calendar. Emily has a new line of office products that are simple, thoughtfully executed and really well branded. It's worth checking out. And yes, I'll be ordering another planner for 2015 (this time in the Navy dot). Oh, and P.S. in case you aren't convinced she makes an amazing planner, check this out.

| 3 | Sugar Paper never disappoints. Those girls consistently put out crisp, clean, graphic and modern designs with a really traditional message. Just love them.

Here's a sneak peek at the new line. Their "love actually" holiday card? Yes, please.

| 4 | I remember discovering Meg Gleason of Moglea several years ago via her designs on Minted. She has a really lovely style, and her letterpress is exquisite. I'm particularly excited about her dip-dyed gift tags and her take on the watercolor trend. It all feels so fun and fresh. You can see more of her collection for NSS here.

| 5 | I am loving this podcast from Elise Blaha. If you're interested in what it's like to sell wholesale and attend the National Stationery Show as an exhibitor, check out episodes 5 and 10. I loved the behind-the-scenes perspectives from both Katharine Watson and Melanie of Grey Moggie Press. So fun!

Thank you to Oh So Beautiful Paper for the amazing NSS coverage this year. I can't wait to attend in 2015!

Have you been following the show at all this year? Any new favorites?
