I've been designing a lot these days, but much of it hasn't been on paper. I've been working around the house, on various photo projects and on planning for Ben's birthday party. Ben's actual birthday fell on the weekend of my cousin's wedding in Seattle. We opened a few presents in our hotel room and went out for a quick lunch, but somehow it took us about a week to get Ben a candle and his first cupcake.

What's better than a 1-year old getting his first taste of chocolate cake, frosting and sprinkles?

Nick and I blew out Ben's candle, and I made a little wish for him. It's hard to believe a year has gone by since we met our sweet guy.
